Financial statements tell how well your business is doing frankly it tells if you're actually making money. It includes balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes in equity and statement of cash flows. The primary users of financial statements are investor and creditors. Investors turn to these statements to understand progress and growth while creditors use them to assess it's ability to pay debt. You can hire an accountant to do all these since this is what they really do but isn't it better if you know your financial statements? Yes there are jargons in financial statements that demands background in accounting to understand but I bet anyone one would get that Sales less Costs will equal to your Profit. When you understand your financial statements it also means you know your business condition. So tell me, do you understand your financial statements?
