Tax Havens are quite controversial with many claiming that businesses shouldn't use tax havens to get around paying high amounts of tax in certain countries. Google and Starbucks have been some big multi-national companies that have been accused of doing this. Considering that this isn't illegal, well for the moment anyway, it's more of an ethical dilemma. I'm on the fence regarding this, to be honest with you. Part of me thinks that it's fine because it's not like they are breaking laws, why should they pay more than is legally required? But then the other half of me thinks that they really should be more ethical and pay the proper amount of tax which in turn can help improve public services.
