Thanks for the list. I’ll try to see all of them during our movie nights. I have seen evil dead one, two and three (army of darkness) and i should say that they are a must see horror films. I just want to add a horror film that i have watched when i was a kid and whenever horror movies are of topic, i never forget to mention it. It is entitled, “Dead Alive” I hope you watch this if you haven’t it’s a good mix of horror and comedy. If you’re into that category, i highly recommend it. 🙂

Is it just me or is it every time some one brings up the “What are the scariest horror movies” the top 5 are always old movies? has the horror genre got worse over the years? For me one of the best horror movies is “Get out” funny enough its fairly new as well. for me psychological horror or serial-killer type of horror movies are the scariest, maybe it has to do someone with monsters being a bit unrealistic compared to serial killers which do exist.
Do you think the horror movie genre got worse? please let me know!

What I have noticed is that the best movies are made decades back. I really applaud the quality of old movies because it feels like they have a concrete stories in comparison with the movies we have today. I’d say that no matter how good the effects and editing is in a film, the real deal is how good the content is.

There’s this horror movie of Friday the 13th where Jason battled it out with Freddy. That horror film was intense because whoever wins between the two, the losers will always be the people surrounding the story. That horror film introduced me to Freddy and i wanted to watch it back then but had forgotten to and thanks to this list, i remembered Freddy by seeing his face on the trailer list. So this time, we’ll be sure to watch the film of Freddy and see his side of the story.

This is indeed a good list of scary movies. I really love watching scary movies since I was a kid and I remember the stories of some of the list and makes me think to watch all of these movies again and let kid watch it with me as well.
