I am a big fan of all coffee drinks, from Starbucks to McDonald’s. I drink coffee from the moment I wait up in the morning, until I go to bead at night, and there is rarely a coffee drink I do not like. However, Turkey Hill’s Iced Coffee has made it on to my exceptions list.
Turkey Hill’s website describes their Iced Coffee as, “The moment is all yours. Why share it with something ordinary? Sit back and savor our 100% Colombian coffee blended with fresh milk and great flavors. It’s a velvety delicious treat; but why take our word for it? Try some for yourself. For a special treat, try it warmmmmm. Ooooo la latte!”
The best Mocha Latte will be chocolaty, with a lingering coffee flavor. Turkey Hill’s Iced Coffee has a strong coffee aftertaste, which I love, but the overall flavor is just plain discussing. The only real way to describe it is as a medicine flavor. Normally, I will down an Iced Coffee drink in no time flat, but I couldn’t even finish my first taste of Turkey Hill’s Iced Coffee.
This is supposed to be milk based coffee drink, which should create a smooth, creamy texture. Turkey Hill’s Iced Coffee’s consistency was thin, as if made by skim milk or had been watered down. Mouth feel should be smooth and silky throughout, with a light creamy texture that only real milk provided.
Granted, I have only tried the Mocha flavor, but Turkey Hill’s Iced Coffee had and overpowering and super artificial taste, that was thin and watery. In essence, Turkey Hill’s Iced Coffee was absent every aspect that makes these kind of drinks so popular.
My verdict is Turkey Hill’s Iced Coffee is UNDRINKABLE… and this is coming from a big fan of Turkey Hill’s Iced Tea and Ice Cream. How does something this bad ever make it out of the taste testing phase?
